For the next couple of weeks I will be discussing the concepts of "Location Lighting with Small Strobes" to the 1st year NSCC photography students. A fantastic group of photographers, lots of great questions and a special thank you to Ingram Barss for the invite to his class.
A lot of my time is spent outside of an official "lighting studio". I always enjoy the challenges and expanded creativity of working on-location with my Nikon small strobes & portable lighting equipment (Dynalite).
Gear
One last outing before our winter season starts in Nova Scotia. So I wanted to take my little guy for a Fall season camping trip. The temperature dropped below 4 degrees in the night but the morning canoe ride in the lake mist was worth the morning chill. Besides we had lots of warm coffee & hot chocolate.
If you have ever wondered what 4 degrees and 3:30am looks like in a tent, this is it. ha :)
Time to head home..
#TBT - I am updating my media library with a new Digital Asset Management system and I came across photos I have never shared from a past hiking trip to Baxter State Park, Maine USA. It is an amazing park to explore and has a very healthy moose population. I was there in June 2009 and the moose were in full swing, of course so where the black flies, mosquitoes, and horse flies. ha :)
LOTS of MOOSE and widelife to see !!
