I love to tell a story with a camera. No matter where that takes me; in the air with a drone, on the ground photographing for a corporate annual report or underwater trying to get that lobster in the perfect pose. It is all about the story I can tell with my images and how the light and composition can help relate that story.
Since graduating from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts 18 years ago, I have worked as a professional photographer, videographer and media consultant for large variety of companies, groups and individuals across Nova Scotia and Canada.
I currently own and operate two companies: Mike Bayer Photo & Media, and I’m a business partner / Creative Director with Flitelab Imaging.
I also love to teach, which is my way of giving back. I offer my own workshops and classes, and also teach for the Nova Scotia Community College and Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. And I’m a staff instructor for the Henry's photography stores, The Learning Lab.
